When you thought the Italian fashion house had perfected its own iconic Baguette bag, Fendi declared an upgraded version that even those of us who operate in the industry didn’t see coming. And we believed the design could find no more delicious…
Teaming up with Maison Francis Kurkdjian, a perfumery renowned for the audacity and boldness, the most recent launch is an adventure for all manner of senses. Did we mention that the bag is bright yellow?
Developing a gender fluid eau de parfum especially for its fendi handbags launch, Francis Kurkdjian’s leathery, musky scent said to’reflect the nobility and fluidity of this Selleria leather’ is a gender fluid scent combined with a completely inclusive customer-base in your mind.
And while this may feel as the future of luxury fashion, it may not be as easy for other brands to copy this innovative idea as they may like.
Thanks to some patent filed back in 2014 by Francis Kurkdjian for reviving the custom of scenting leather, the method is hot property.
Speaking of this launch, the perfumer said:”Out of love for fine craftsmanship and for my livelihood, I modernised a strategy devised by 12th century master glove maker-perfumers, successfully bringing it back to life”
The bag’s concept was introduced for the very first time in Miami earlier this month, and also the launching comprises three versions of this Baguette in varying sizes. Each bag has a free jar of FendiFrenesia, which can be utilized both on the tote and on the entire body.
All three styles are all available now at the Fendi Miami Boutique, but UK shoppers can snap the nano-Baguette – which includes the 5ml odor – through the brand’s website for #430.
And you also won’t want to wait till Christmas, since this bag is only available until December 20.
