OMG, Versus’s New Hot-Boy Designer Is Zayn, You Guys

It may be shallow to make this observation, but the three designers who’ve signed on to work on the Versus line with Donatella Versace — Christopher Kane, J.W. Anderson, and Anthony Vaccarello — have more in common than just their design skills. They’re also extremely easy on the eye. If you were wondering which hottie Versace would pick next, the answer is finally here, and Donatella opted for someone who doesn’t have, let’s say, a traditional fashion background. Yes, Zayn, who was front row at the brand’s London Fashion Week show this season, is the new appointee — according to a release from the brand — and is also set to star in the next two Versus campaigns. Zayn x Versus will be a capsule line shown to buyers and press in a presentation next spring, and released in May. (By the way, if this news makes you assume Donatella Versace is a Directioner, you’re dead wrong. She told the New York Times, “I was not exactly a fan of that band.”)

While he hasn’t exactly put in his time at Central Saint Martins, Zayn has been involved in the fashion sphere, designing a shoe line for Giuseppe Zanotti and doing important work experimenting with wearing just one Yeezy Boost instead of two. Do you think he and fellow celebrity designer Gigi Hadid spend their free time talking about seams and hems?
