When Holika Holika launched its Gudetama Lazy & Easy Edition in October, I told myself: “Now that’s something!” Indeed, for lazy people like me, perhaps it would be best if they invented 3 types of facial masks: one for applying makeup, one for removing makeup and one for skin care. But since there isn’t a one-step solution yet for any of the 3 main beauty routines, I have to look for products that are at least easy to use and carry around.

I discovered that beauty sticks may be my salvation. Beauty sticks fulfill my requirements, and the best thing is the contents won’t get onto my hands. In fact, there are now so many beauty products available in stick form that you can almost complete your entire beauty regimen with a handful of these. Now, it’s not only lipsticks you have to own!

1. Cleansing/ Makeup Removal
When you travel, don’t you want to get rid of all those little bottles that might leak? Now with these cleansing and makeup removal sticks, you can be fresh-faced with just a few swipes. su:m37’s soap-like Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick has a pleasant rose scent and foams up nicely. It even has real rose petals in it! A’PIEU’s oil balm Speedy Remover Stick reaches tricky areas like the hair line, eye area and sides of the nose with its sponge tip, while RiRe’s All Kill Blackhead Remover Stick contains charcoal particles to remove impurities and sebum from the nose.

2. Lifting/ Moisturizing
This video on the MAXCLINIC Cirmage Lifting Stick went viral back in May when the stick was launched. Despite containing peptides and collagen, rumor is that the stick creates an instant but only temporarily lifting effect, almost like applying glue to the face. It may be good for quick fixes, but more as cosmetics than skin care. For those who prefer gradual but long-lasting skin firming, I recommend Etude House’s Moistfull Collagen Stick and Tony Moly’s Panda’s Brightening Eye Base.

3. Anti-Shine/ Sun Block
A third of the products I mention here are from Etude House and this one is no exception. This sun block has SPF 50 PA+++ sun protection and keeps sebum at bay.

4. Foundation/ Concealer
Etude House’s Play 101 collection consists of foundations, contour duos (for highlighting and shadowing), multi-colored sticks, an oil balm and a primer – all in stick form. The stick foundation is good not only for on-the-go moments, but also for proper, full-on makeup. Simply draw lines on your face and blend with a brush or your fingers.

5. Contouring
Etude House’s Play 101 Multi-Colored Sticks are available in shimmery or matte finishes, and in a variety of colors ranging from rosy red to beige and brown. Apply it on the eyes, cheeks and lips and blend with a brush or your fingers. It’s perfect for creating monochromatic makeup! The Contour Duo, meanwhile, is especially popular among makeup artists because it’s so handy and useful!

6. Eye Shadow
Another “sticky” product from Etude House that caught my eye is its Bling Bling Eye Stick collection. It’s probably the easiest way to apply shimmer on your eyelids! There’s also an eye stick collection from LadyKin. The colors are pastel and less shimmery, making it ideal for everyday makeup.

7. Hair Styling
Keep stray hair away with Utena’s Matomage Hair Styling Stick. Just sweep it on your hair for shiny, smooth and tamed tresses.

8. Deodorant/ Perfume
For a pick-me-up in the middle of the day, these deodorant and perfume sticks refresh both the body and mind.
