The Hot Guy With the Gas Mask at Fashion Week Is Bob Dylan’s Grandson

Levi Dylan, 22-year-old grandson of Bob Dylan and the son of Jakob Dylan, has decided not to pursue the family trade. “I gave up on music,” he told the Cut at the Cinema Society’s post-screening party for Southside With You on Wednesday, standing in a courtyard outside Harold’s Meat + Three. “I still love to play, but it’s too hard to make a living. And I think that was a mature decision to make.”

Instead, Levi is dabbling in acting and modeling: Most recently he did a shoot in Italy. (He’s not allowed to say what that project is yet, but you can see some of his previous work here.) And devastatingly, you won’t be seeing him on the runways this Fashion Week. “I try not to do that stuff because those guys are really tall,” he laughed. He is in fact six feet tall, according to Wilhelmina.

His girlfriend, the photographer Alana O’Herlihy, introduced him to the modeling world. “She kind of set me up, and from there it was sort of like dominoes.” He hasn’t learned that much about fashion so far, but recently he discovered punk emporium Search and Destroy on St. Marks Place, where he bought a gas mask.

“I might wear that in the near future,” Levi said. “Maybe during Fashion Week. It might be something that nobody’s seen yet, but I expect to bring some new material to the plate.mens fashion clothing
