When I first laid eyes on the Cleobella Brass Coin Clutch, I had a terrifying flash back. Does anyone remember the handbags that were covered in jumbo sequins? They came in just about every color of the rainbow, but hot pink and metallics seemed to be the most popular. I remember seeing girls walking around at the mall with them and I would cringe at the sight of them (my apologies to anyone who owned one). Granted, this was some time ago. But the image has been burned into my mind. So when this clutch showed up on my radar, I was a little hesitant at first.
Once I examined the Cleobella Brass Coin Clutch more closely though, I decided that this clutch isn’t so bad. In fact, it is even growing on me. I do like the tarnished “coins” that cover the entire front side. They look more boho-chic than disco ball. I also like the rod-shaped beads adorning the top edge. The long tassel zipper pull isn’t bad either! I think what makes this piece work is the fact that it is a pouch-style clutch, rather than a larger handbag. The small size makes the chaos seem more manageable. This clutch would create a wonderful accent for a boho-chic look, which is perfect for the fall season.
