I love throwing on a cardigan and wearing it for work or as a standalone top during the weekend when the weather is much warmer or under a sweater in the winter. I am a huge fan of bows – bows on shoes, bags, clothing, hair accessories, you name it – as I grow older, I generally prefer bigger bows which to me comes across as more sophisticated. Sweaters are wardrobe staples during fall / winter. My sweaters vary in color, material, knit pattern, shape, fit, but for some reason, I never purchase sweaters with graphics anymore. I didn’t even realize this until I received this penguin sweater from a dear family member this past Christmas. Penguins have a special meaning to me so I immediately fell in love with this sweater. It’s hard to explain but this sweater reminds me to stay young and playful regardless of how old we are. Sweater Dress: old H&M sweater dress (see similars here and here) Bag: Ferragamo Wallet on Chain (read my review here) Shoes: Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots (in color slate – see a lighter grey version here) An off-the-shoulder sweater dress and over-the-knee boot combo is a winter basic, and for a good reason. The sexy and effortless look is easy to pull together and super flattering, so not surprisingly it is a popular outfit. What amazes me is even though there are thousands of off-the-sweater dress and over-the-knee boot combos, they all have their own flavor based on color, material, knit pattern, handbags, other accessories, hair style, background, etc. A couple of notes on the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots. I liked the boots for so long but I have always thought the boot would be way too high up on my thigh and look ridiculous (I am 5’2″). I did tried on the 5050s which have a similar shaft of 24″ and they were way too much. Anyways, thank goodness for free returns because I finally decided to buy a pair to test try them in person and I have never looked back. I love these boots, even with the 4″ heel the boots …

Bottom: Distressed boyfriend jeans (see similar here) Bag: Celine Trapeze (see a similar tricolor combo here) Shoes: Gianvito Rossi Plexi pump (see all white version here and this beautiful baby blue version here) This 2-way stole from Uniqlo has been my most worn item this winter. I can easily throw it over any outfit to add additional warmth then convert it into a super snuggly blanket scarf when I need to put on a coat and run outdoors. Love this light blue and white color combo, it is really versatile and goes with almost every outfit!
