Prada use to be one of my favorite handbag brands. In fact, Prada’s saffiano double zip tote (also known as the Galleria tote) was the first bag I purchased after getting my first year bonus in investment banking. When I think of a “Prada” girl, I immediately think of a modern, independent, and practical woman. Sadly, in the last few years, besides the Cuir tote and Cahier bag, I never lusted after any Prada handbags. The lack of new captivating designs (or “It” bags) means Prada is slipping behind brands like Celine, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Loewe, etc. and no longer top of mind (or top of the wish list) for many handbag lovers. Recently, I decided to check out Prada’s website to see its handbag selection and actually found quite a few that I like. Here are the nine bags that I like from Prada’s current collection: Prada Cahier Shoulder Bag On top of my list would definitely be the black / green Cahier bag. This bag was launched in 2016 and has been pretty popular. Some bags are love at first sight and some bags you grow to love, the Cahier bag is in between the two for me. …

Jacket: Blank NYC Suede Moto Jacket (see other colors available here) Sweater: BR turtleneck sweater with lace details Bottom: Leggings with contrasting side stripes Bag: Circle bag Boots: Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots in Burgundy (see other colors here) It’s tough to decide which one I love more, the moto jacket or the white turtleneck sweater. For the moto jacket, I had a hard time debating between this burgundy color or a neutral grey and I am glad I went with this rich burgundy color. The cut and length of the jacket is very flattering and the material has a decent weight to it. The Blank NYC suede moto jackets are affordable and the quality is great for the price. Then for my best sales find of the season, the Banana Republic sweater. I’ve been eyeing this white turtleneck sweater since hit the stores last winter, this is a collaboration piece between Olivia Palermo and BR. I love the high turtleneck, the lace detail on the bottom and on the bell sleeves. It is a great basic (but still unique) layering piece for the cold weather. The only issue was its $198 price tag. I am so glad I walked away the first few times because …
Coat: Club Monaco Sogand Coat (see longer black version here) Turtleneck: Cashmere sweater in color snow Jeans: Toothpick jeans in white Bag: My beloved bongo (circle) bag Boots: Ted Baker Lorca 2 Sunglasses: Celine Tilda Sunglasses Camel color coats are a wardrobe staple but I’ve always walked away from all camel color coats I’ve tried on because the color is just not flattering for my skin tone. Then I found this lighter camel or “caramel color” coat from Club Monaco and finally decided to jump onboard. In addition to the color, I love the military style – it’s classic yet modern. The length is also perfect on my 5’2″ frame – it’s long enough to lengthen but not too long that it looks like I’m wearing a potato sack. Overall, I love this coat but I do have to cite a couple cons. One, the way the thick shoulder materials and labels are constructed, even if I stand straight, optically it still looks like I have a slight hunchback. The problem is solvable by letting my hair down. Two, although this coat is 69% wool and relatively thick, this coat does not keep me warm at all. The coat uses one button closure …
